getting there...

Our Monday began at 2:30 am when we woke up to get ready. We went down to the Bart station the night before to get our tickets so we would have one less thing to do in the morning. We got to the Bart station a little early and it was a good thing because somehow all of our tickets had been demagnatized and we couldn't get through the gate and the lady had to hand write us a ticket to be able to get out on the other side. We boarded the Bart at 4:15 and headed for the san Francisco airport. We had an 8:15 flight to Minneapolis. Then a quick layover before an 8 hour flight to Amsterdam. This flight was a little bit harder but at least the movies are free. Allison was able to sleep for a good portion of the flight. I didn't sleep at all. We have about a 4 hour layover in Amsterdam and then onto the last leg (8 hour flight to Nairobi) where I am hoping to be able to sleep. Allison knew a few more of the group members than I did. But I am certain that in the next couple of weeks I will get to know the team. I am looking forward to meeting the people in Kenya. I am also excited to see God work, not only with the Kenyans but also how He is going to mold me. My goal is to do and become what the Lord wants.
