4-17 Tuesday
Tuesday was not Seal Team 6's (which is what our team calls ourselves due the amazing mission to extract Bro Russell the night he flew in... it was not an easy task but someone had to do it) best day, we locked ourselves out of the room so an attendant had to unlock the door for us. Later we managed to clog a toilet so a couple attendants had to take care of that for us, it sounded like they took a fire hose to the bathroom. They then told us "no tissue in bowl", yeah like thats going to happen, especially since there was no trash can in the room!!! Later on in the day I had the key and went to unlock the door, while trying to unlock the door the door handle came off in my hand so now my key privileges have been revoked. They moved us up from the 2nd floor to the 3rd floor. It was about 30 degrees warmer up there and the guys weren't too happy about that. We had to pack everything up and move up another flight of stairs into a hotter room. I tried to remind them about the positives, a better view, less people on the 3rd floor so it should be quieter and a little bit cleaner... well they weren't having any of it. They eventually got over it except for the kidding "oh that's right we have to go up another flight of stairs"... every time we had to go back to the room. The start of camp with registration and evening services the worship was very cool. The Team Leader Bravo brought the message but first he asked me to go up and give my testimony. I was a little bit nervous being in front 200 people, but I went through when I was saved to where God has lead me to now. Leader Bravo went on to preach on Jesus and what it means to follow Christ. The question was who do you say God is? As well as why do you want to know God's will? Afterwards there was an invitation with many of the youth responding to the alter call. Amen! I believe God is truly doing something great here in the Philippines. After that there was 14 different groups who did a mini talent show and Georgia, Red Dog Lyster, and Commander served as the Judges. 14 groups each singing holy cow there is no way we would have that many in America. Some were hard to understand, some were just musicals, and some were flat out awesome. The night ended up being a late night, but it was awesome to see God work and see the talent He has blessed those youth with. We were all very tired and ready for bed... can't wait for tomorrow.
