Here we are Wednesday afternoon waiting. We have finished our two weeks worth of laundry (from camp and the ABA meeting), the excitement is building as we are figuring out how we are going to pack our things as well as the generous amount of items that Shafter MBC donated. Our list of last minute things to do has shrunk to only a few items left to be checked off. We have said our goodbyes to our family and friends, we will be back at our home church to say goodbye to our church family tonight. T-Minus 20 hours until takeoff from LAX, where we will meet up with 2 other members of our team (Ariela and Christene) in Washington DC. Then the last 2 legs into Romania where the missionary and the last 2 members of our team will be waiting. I can't help but be overwhelmed with the amount of love and support that we have seen from family and friends. As much as we feel the love and support from them its amazing to realize that the love they have shown us doesn't even compare to the Love that our Savior shows us. I am excited to see what God has in store for this Mission Trip to Romania, where we will work at an orphanage, teach at VBS, spend time on the working on the building project, evangelism and of course fellowship with Bro Manary, his family, and their youth. It is at times like this that I wonder Why me? Why did the Lord call me to this ministry? I don't have an answer to that other than to remember my prayer and Isaiah's response in Isaiah 6:8, "Hear am I, send me!" Our savior has given us a command to go unto all the world taking the gospel with us and sharing it with the world. So we go to co labor and share the gospel. I firmly believe that if there is a need then we need to do whatever we can to facilitate that need. Be sure to check in from time to time as we are about the Lord's work this summer. Updates will follow... and prayers are appreciated!
