Happy 4th of july from all of us here in Romania. Another day another chapter for Mission: Saturate Romania with Christ by Seal Team 7. We are excited to get to be a part of seeing God work the way that He has worked here in Romania. Today is morning VBS and we were planning for about 100 kids based on yesterdays evening vbs numbers, but we ended up with 47 kids which was much more manageable than yesterday. Today we also learned FLEXIBILITY since we had planned on having a lot more kids we changed our groupings on the fly for the activities. Today ran very smooth, we were much better prepared for the kids and we definitely saw some changes start to happen in some of the kids that have been trouble makers. We also learned that parents are more willing to let their kids go in the evening/afternoon because they will come home tired and want to go to bed, which is probably why we had a lot more kids at the evening vbs. It was awesome to see that some of the kids hearts seemed to be softening and we are just praying that they will come to know Christ. God has a way of giving you what you can handle and with this team being smaller we are hoping that with around 50 at vbs we can make deeper comections with the kids. Since it is summer break here a lot of the kids sleep in and that's why we had the drop off in the numbers for today. Today was also a special day for Vasy, it was his birthday. We all celebrated by singing happy birthday to him and had a traditional American 4th of July lunch with BBQ pork chops, chicken and hot dogs, and a special thanks to Bro Manary for being the BBQ king. After lunch we were able to rest for part of the day, and spend time playing games with the Manary kids before their midweek services, Thursday night. At services each team member was given the opportunity to give their testimony so most of the team gave a short testimony. After services we were able to fellowship with the youth for a little bit then we ate dinner and went into our devo time. Sis Ariella gave her devo and I gave my testimony. It's really amazing how God works because a lot of our devos have had the same themes running through them. A lot of us are dealing with the same things and its been neat to share and discuss it all together. Then we spent a few minutes talking about tomorrow and getting situated and prepared for a lot of kids and getting prepared to watch God work. On saturday we are preparing to do salvation bracelets for the kids since it is the last day of VBS, and we are hoping to really hit home with the salvation message. All week we have been talking about God so the last day we plan to pour on Jesus so that, Lord willing, kids will be saved. It's been a great/busy day and we are all looking forward to tomorrow. Please pray for endurance and rest for the team, we are all starting to get tired and could really use the extra prayers so we can finish strong. We are all so excited and feel so blessed to be here and see God at work.
